Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina made the history for not only Bangladesh Buddhist Association but also this region's Buddhists by laying the Foundation Stone of the new Chittagong Buddhist Monastery construction project on 28 March, 2012 at the monastery premises @ 11 am. She also declared the development work of this region's Buddhists has started and this is an instance of that work.
